North-West University in South Africa, Widener University in the United States, and I are organizing a symposium to be held in South Africa during the week of April 11, 2016, on constitutional and other rights-based approaches to the promotion of environmental protection. The symposium will examine good practices, provide a high-level platform for discussions among academics and practitioners, and propel the development of training materials to advance rights-based approaches to environmental governance.
